Whether you need help understanding your style, renovating your home within your PC allowances or creating your dream home with every detail taken care of, there is sure to be an interior design service that will suit you.

While we might be biased, interior design isn’t a luxury service if you’re building or renovating, it’s a necessity. We design homes, kitchens and bathrooms each and every day, and have designed literally hundreds of homes over our careers. It often doesn’t cross people’s minds that a designer can help you sort out the complexity of building or renovating, and make your life a whole lot less stressful during the process!

If you want a run down on how an interior design service, check out our past blog post on the topic!

While we offer some budget-friendly colour selection services, our most popular service is our most comprehensive. Our Tier 3 and 4 design services need to be booked two to three months in advance due to their popularity but most people find them well worth the wait. Our full design services give you a designer on your side, with a goal to make sure that every aspect of your dream new build or renovation is planned to the last detail.

If you’re ready to just get started, book a discovery call and we’ll explain the process!

If you’re still reading, you sound like the kind of person who wants details, so let’s deep dive into the process…

Step 1: Discovery Call

We like to start with a discovery call so we can have a chat about your project. We want to know why you are building or renovating and how the process has been so far. This is our chance to get to know each other, and for us to explain how the service works and how we can help.

Step 2: Proposal & Deposit

Once we’ve heard more about your project, and hopefully have your floor plans, we will put together a proposal based on some of the ideas we’ve discussed during our call. You’ll get a link to our handy online system, which will allow you to choose your preferred package, sign your contract and pay a deposit.

Depending on the service you choose, we might be able to fit you in immediately, otherwise we will have let you know a wait time. Our online system also lets you upload your inspo, link to your Pinterest or add some further details for us.

Step 3: Initial Meeting

Our initial meeting is where we will go much more in-depth. We will go through your plans with you with a fine tooth comb, looking at how you see yourself living in your space, functional considerations, the type of storage you need as well as your likes, dislikes and style. We’ll also send through a questionnaire which will get you started on the nitty gritty details – we’re talking oven preferences, where you store your ironing board and how many pairs of shoes you have!

Step 4: Planning Stage

This is where we shine! While you sit back and relax, we will be drawing, planning, brainstorming, ordering samples and selecting colours and finishes. We draw up your project in 3D so we can create clever solutions to storage problems, assess whether your layouts are really working for your lifestyle and design beautiful details that will make your project really shine. We will be in touch when we’re ready to book in your presentation meeting.

Step 5: Presentation Meeting

This is the exciting part! This is your chance to see your new home in 3D with every detail broken down in incredible realistic renders, sketches and elevation drawings. If you’re local, you will come into our studio and be able to see it all on the big screen, with an incredible flatlay of samples in front of you. This is your chance to touch and feel the samples, see how the colours play off each other, as well as review technical and specific details of your design.

Don’t worry if you’re working with us remotely, we will post you a box of labelled samples and organise a a digital presentation meeting so you get the full experience!

During the presentation meeting we will be making notes of small changes, details we want to explore further and colour adjustments ready to issue your full set of drawings.

Step 6: Drawing & Documentation

We capture any changes from our presentation meeting into detailed documentation. This is the information that you will pass along to your builder or trades and includes renders, sketches, detailed elevations and a full specification with every finish we’ve discussed. This will break everything down from the size of the leg on your island to the grout colour in your ensuite. This will become your build bible, with all the details everyone needs to get things right!

We include a round of revisions for each project, so if you need to make a second round of changes due to budget, availability or builder feedback, you just let us know and we can capture these into a second round of drawings.

On top of that, some of our comprehensive services include ongoing meetings including discussions with your cabinetmaker and suppliers and on-site meetings to make sure everything goes to plan.

At the end of the day our goal is to make the process easy and stress-free for you – we capture all the details you need before work starts, so you aren’t receiving stressful phone calls mid-build. You’ll have the drawings and information you need to communicate your ideas clearly, and a colour scheme and design that you know will work beautifully.
