At Ethos Interiors, we’ve had the immense privilege of being part of an extraordinary project with Townsend Constructions – combining the classic Queenslanders that Townsville loves while embracing the allure of a Mediterranean oasis.

This home has won a number of awards this year including,

A Grand Entrance

Our adventure begins with a striking entrance that sets the tone for the gorgeous spaces that follow. The custom front door, graced with fluted glass and a brushed brass pull, leading you into the beautiful entryway adorned with a curved and fluted hall table, crowned with exquisite pink marble. Curved plaster arches and brass pendant lights guide you down a hallway that gradually unfolds into the striking open-plan kitchen, living, and outdoor space.

Bringing the Outdoors In

An integral part of our design was to seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor living, fulfilling the needs of a family with a vibrant outdoor lifestyle and creating outdoor spaces that are just as gorgeous as the indoors. The main living area opens up to a spacious patio featuring a beige and white checkerboard floor and full outdoor kitchen, transitioning across timber decking and leading to the exquisite pool house, a vision of retro summer vibes.

Luxury in Every Detail

The house is thoughtfully divided into distinct wings, each accessible through two elongated hallways. These hallways lead to spaces dedicated to children and guests, as well as the luxury laundry with a mudroom and extra storage. At the rear of the house lies the master retreat. A walk-in robe wrapped in timber paves the way to a spacious ensuite bathroom, boasting a travertine-inspired French pattern floor and a custom vanity in timber and pink marble. Brass arched mirrors ingeniously conceal storage, while a raked ceiling adds a touch of drama to this serene space.

As the design team behind this project, we couldn’t be more thrilled about how it all came together. Ricky and Mel’s willingness to let us challenge their initial ideas and embrace the Mediterranean oasis concept allowed us to bring their creative vision to life. Every detail was meticulously considered, and Ricky’s skilled carpenters executed our vision to perfection.
