An open plan living space should flow beautifully, both from a lifestyle and traffic flow point of view, and a colour scheme. We love how spacious this room is, and the gorgeous mix of tones which include timber, pale grey and touches of black.⁠

If you struggle with combining colours in a space, try out the 60/30/10 rule. Choose 60% of the items to be in your primary neutral, then 30% in your accent. In this case, our primary tone was grey, followed by timber. Our 10% accent is the pop, the black that provides the impact and contrast! It's the finishing touch, the jewellery of your space.⁠

We likes the finishes of any home we design to flo

We likes the finishes of any home we design to flow from space to space. That doesn't mean using the exact scheme room to room!

A flatlay is the perfect way to achieve this but we want to see subtle references between each space. In this home the pale white washed vinyl plank was repeated as a cabinetry colour in the laundry, and we used the same upper cabinet colour through both rooms.

Styling then ties it all together with dark accents and touches of beige, warm wood and terracotta tones.
